だって...I saw what I've been looking for fooor soo long! :'D
I almost bled my nose when I saw this picture..lawl xD
I wanted to picture soo bad..so I had to look for it somewhere...maan~ my eyes were soo tired and I'm soo tired too...I have been deprived of sleep for the past days because of Skip Beat. I think about it too much. xD
I was soo happy when I finally found this:

And it wasn't because of Shou or Ren...it was because I was soo amazed! :'3
The art was very nice...it's not bad and it wasn't VERY awesome but it's still really nice that I'd bang my head on the wall if I wasn't tired right now..xD (I'd prolly even jump and run around my room because of excitement lawl)

Although I agree--Kyoko's design is a little meh. Boys looks surprisingly good, though--and they didn't have manga designs that lent well to anime. But there they are, and they are lovely!

I have to say that the arts looks pretty, but Shou and Kyouko look a bit weird (I don't totally dislike it, but Kyouko isn't as pretty as she is in the manga, and Shou looks handsome, but I don't know....)

Somehow, I predict that we're going to be seeing a lot more Shou/Kyoko fanwork... I mean, if I didn't know better, from just looking at the pictures I'd guess that was the main pairing.

I agree. From the smaller version of the picture, it appears that Shou's picture is bigger than Ren's...yet, Ren is the male lead, whereas Shou is just a recurring character. I hope they don't wind up slaughtering the anime along with the characters. D:
But... I don't suppose you know how long of an anime they're planning? Ouran and Fruits Basket were both 24 episodes, and covered up to volume 7/8. In Skip Beat, that would mean the anime would end right after the thing with Shou's music video... stopping there would make it seem like they'd come full circle, sorta, so Shou would be more important than he is in the manga...
Or maybe I'm just trying to rationalize this in a way that isn't going to destroy a beautiful series.
Well I've only heard the release date, but my best guess is that they're aiming for 24-26 episodes, like all typical shoujo series. But you have a point...I think, in Skip Beat!'s case, they may have to combine/skip chapters. I would think they'd want to at least cover the Vie Ghoul arc and then make that the ending, because if they did only cover up to volume 7/8, it would seem like the main pairing was ShouxKyoko. (Plus, it'd be like Kyoko's career went nowhere, considering the Dark Moon arc doesn't begin until volume 10) I dunno, I think condensing 17 (well...that's only assuming if they go up to there, and if they're only planning 26 episodes and not 2 seasons) volumes into 26 episodes may make the series appeared rushed. But we'll see.
The problem I see with them putting Dark Moon into the anime is that Dark Moon leads pretty seamlessly to Kuu, which just makes the whole thing so much longer and more complicated. If they're looking for 24-26 episodes that has a definite conclusion (even if it's understood that Kyoko's career will continue to grow afterwards), that seems both too long, and lacking a strong ending. Plus, I think they'd have to seriously butcher the Dark Moon arc (especially since while, yes, Ren is pretty well established as the male lead there, Shou has a comeback as a nice guy).
Plus, if Shou says "I lose, Kyoko-sama is amazing," and Ren says, "Kyoko-chan, you're amazing (and I love you)" at the end of the PV arc, then the series is nicely tied up. *shrugs* But you're right, we'll have to wait and see.
Hmm...well, if they do alter the PV arc a bit I guess they could tie things up decently. Though, I really am hoping Skip Beat'll be at least 2 seasons long, since it's very...complicated. Even in earlier volumes there are already hints/mysterious emerging...so, yeah. I'm really excited how they're planning on making this into a decent anime, considering how much effort it's going to take and all.
PS: Imagining Shou groveling and saying those words is a very amusing picture.
Somehow, I feel like Shou would stop and pose in the middle of groveling...
It airs on October 5th in case ya wanna know..
it may seem far...but hopefully the days will go faster..hopefully. O_o

VK's animation was BAD. Just awful I dun even wanna talk about it. ~_~
I don't know, I'm pretty disappointed.
Ren doesn't look that good, Kyoko is just all wrong, and the only thing I like about Shou is the fact they got his smirk right. (His hair could just be a little bit darker, too. It's too bright.)
I still plan on watching the anime though, because even if the designs aren't what I'm expecting, it may turn out decent. (Hopefully not another let down like Special A. All the characters turned out wrong for me, especially Yahiro, Kei & Hikari.)
I didn't like how he looked in the anime. (also Jun actually..o_o)
Aah~ it's the matter of opinions. I'm not very disappointed with Ren's...I'm fine. He still looks cool to me. xD
